Identity Protection

AIG Hawaii provides its members with the necessary tools to protect themselves from identity theft. Members will receive a Risk Assessment test and Personalized Protection Plan, as well as Crime Reports providing information on identity theft suspects in their local area. Members will also be alerted to new creative methods identity thieves are using to obtain personal information.

A person can do everything right and still become a victim of identity theft. That is why Identity Safeguards provides a full recovery service to each of its members. If a theft occurs, we'll act quickly to ensure that financial damage and emotional stress is kept to a minimum. Identity Safeguards specializes in personal identity theft recovery and will help members get their lives back together if they become victims. If a theft occurs, members have access to our Toll-free Victim hotline to report the problem, as well as our online secure email Victim Theft Event Report. Members are then immediately assigned a Personal Recovery Advocate within one business day to manage their case from beginning to end. Within three business days a victim will be provided with a Recovery Plan that outlines steps that the victim and their Recovery Advocate will take to restore their identity.

From the beginning, a member's Recovery Advocate will create and maintain a case file to document the Identity Theft Event. Identity Safeguards Recovery Advocates will maintain absolute confidentiality of a victim's personal information, unless directly related to restoring a victim's identity. In order to combat the devastating financial consequences of an identity theft, Identity Safeguards will reimburse victims for the lost income and expenses directly associated with the identity theft event. Membership with Identity Safeguards includes reimbursement up to $20,000 per ID theft event for costs directly associated with an identity theft event.
