In The Community
Sometimes, making a difference is not about what we do during work hours. In fact, some of our proudest achievements come when we're not in the office, but in the community. Which is why so many of our employees serve on the boards of non-profit organizations, volunteer as coaches and scout leaders, or donate their time and money to local charities, including:
- Aloha United Way
- Hawaii Foodbank
- Walk for the Cure
- American Diabetes Association
- Toys for Tots
- March of Dimes
Hot Spots
Created in 2002 by AIG Hawaii, Hot Spots is a community initiative to increase public awareness about the dangers of speeding, especially around school zones. The program has since identified 50 dangerous speeding areas near schools, across the state. Several times each year, our employees join forces with school students, teachers and police officers to remind drivers to slow down via posters, banners and electronic signs that post each driver's speed.
Hot Spots Traffic Safety Booklet
Safety is a community effort. That’s why AIG Hawaii created this Traffic Safety Booklet. All of the games and activities in this booklet were created by AIG Hawaii employees, to help make our streets and our community safer for students and their families.
